Scandent BPO Cambridge Signs MoU with Business School for Employee MBA Programme

  • Tailor made programmes created for existing and potential employees of Cambridge India
  • Programme to be affiliated with AIMA

Bangalore, India – May 17, 2006: Cambridge Integrated Services India, a knowledge-based business processing outsourcing firm, has entered into a MoU with MATS School of Business & IT, Bangalore to create a tailor made post graduate programme for existing and potential employees of Cambridge. The three year programme which will lead to a Post Graduate Diploma in Management, will be created exclusively for the needs of Cambridge through a unique collaboration between the two partners. A Category A institution amongst the top B-Schools in India, MATS will introduce a special curriculum to address the requirements of Cambridge, while also working with the curriculum recommended by the All India Management Association.

Under the terms of the agreement, MATS will provide course management, infrastructure, student performance tracking system (SPTS), library facilities and faculty mentors, while Cambridge will contribute through guest lectures from both within the organization and overseas, and faculty support.

Nimish Soni, Managing Director, Cambridge Integrated Services India said, “Given the growth predicted in the BPO industry and the shortage of quality manpower in India, we believe the corporate sector should take the initiative in creating employees who are BPO-ready through collaborative efforts with the academia and student community. We hope to create an environment that will foster learning through enhancing the skills that our employees bring to the organization, while ensuring we retain our leadership position in the industry.” Cambridge will initially depute 60 of its employees for the programme.

“We are excited about the opportunity to create a programme exclusively for the BPO industry. It is a misnomer that the BPO industry does not require any special skills. Through a programme designed to address the needs of Cambridge in particular, we hope to elevate the status of the BPO industry and draw attention to its special requirements. We are certain that this industry-academia partnership will enhance prospects for the young employee community,” said Chenraj Jain, Chairman Jain Group of Institutions and President MATS School of Business and IT.

The PGDM course at MATS will last for 3 years, with the classes commencing from June 2006.
